Hi mARToons fan!

What better way to ring in the xmas season than a funny look at dementia.

I visited my mom in a dementia ward last summer in New Zealand.

For 89 days I paid her and the dozen or so other residents a 1-2 hour visit.

I went into the whole thing filled with horror … that I’d be trapped in a locked ward with a group of psychopaths.

But as normal, my real-life experience quickly dispelled that media-fed nonsense.

I had a lot of enjoyable visits and some hilarious moments came out of them.

So here they are – a dozen of my impressions of the trials, tribulations and mindset of someone with dementia.

Day One: Dementia folks move slow … real s-l-o-w …
