The whole environmental phenomenon these days is so complicated, non-transparent, disorganized, inconsistent and ineffective you just have to laugh. Is it really so hard to break a box down before chucking it in the dumpster? Yes, many people are trying to make the system work but the system overall is not trying to make the system work. Look in any store and almost every single item in there is encased in a tomb of packaging and most it is plastic. Didn’t somebody ban plastic packaging years ago?
Best take things one step at a time. Start breaking down those boxes. Technology one day might come to the rescue. There is a machine at a local swimming pool that spin dries your bathing suit. How about a machine that breaks down boxes. You place it in one end and out comes the folded-up sheets of cardboard, then … Let’s face it. Humans love technology. It saves bodily action. We evolved two brains stuck together (which is essentially what the human brain is) so we could save physical work and live longer and happier.
