Hi Martoons fan!

Today’s cartoon drama is based on a true story. And believe it or not, this exact situation still prevails as it has for about ten years. One of the institutions that I have to call once and a while customarily puts me on hold and then plays a wickedly gritty music track that starts with a loppy, politely thumping and plodding bass riff, leading into a shrill but not piercing trumpet solo. It’s one of my favorite riffs and I’ve been hearing it for years. It used to cheer me right up having to wait for the real person to come on the line; in fact I honestly didn’t care if that didn’t happen for a few more minutes.
