Yes it is smooth and quick to use a card when paying for stuff but you no doubt have noticed that it’s pretty easy to phase out the person working at those types of kiosks. When you pay cash, you basically always have to deal with a real, live squishy person.
Even if you do have to perhaps wait longer or complete an obstacle course first in order to get to the till.
