Martoons

Marty West founded clickmartoons.com in 2017 because he noticed that newspaper and online offerings were only allowed to be a little bit funny. “Martoons” are hilarious to the extreme. Also, mainstream cartoons are only allowed to joke about a very safe list of topics. For Martoons, not so. There is a hilarious side to every issue out there, no matter how serious or dark (such as smoking and dementia). Folks cringed when Marty pitched the concept of a calendar about men’s prostate issues. Soon after, those same folks were laughing their heads off when they saw the Martoons’ Men’s Wellness Calendar. Thomas Rawling is an illustrator and graphic designer from Prince George, BC. Starting by editing for Clickmartoons in 2018, he has been involved in years of calendars and compilations and has become a regular artist for the comic. He continues to contribute as an cartoonist for Clickmartoons on top of preparing to launch an original graphic novel.

Naliesy has done artwork as well as web development for Martoons, illustrating comics that blend humor and creativity (see MT#1327). Her illustrations include the Martoons’ World: Garden Comics (see MT#1304) and Martoons’ World: Gym Comics (MT#1190) series, adding a distinctive visual style to the Martoons universe. Originally from a small town in northern BC (Houston), Naliesy now resides in Victoria, BC.
