Hi clickmARToons fan!

Soaring household debt.

It’s presented in the news as a ‘recent’ issue or even a new one.

Not quite.

I recently found an old letter from my mom wherein she talks about when she first came to Canada in the 1950s. Back in the old country – Scotland – after WWII, folks had very little money and credit was unheard of.

Then she got off the boat in Canada and – alas! – anything could be bought on credit, or ‘payment plans’. Debt was soon a massive problem, my mom said, and even was a main cause of her divorce soon after that. (That was before I had set foot on the earth!)

Cheers, Marty West, clickmARToons
