Hi mARToons fan!
Today is Remembrance Day in Canada and the cartoon fits in with a few army jokes.
An grizzled old army vet named related to me his first day in the army decades earlier.
There was a break in training and a bunch of troops went out back.
The sergeant asked this guy, “Maggot, do you smoke?”
‘Maggot’ answered in a righteous tone, “No Sergeant.”
“You do now,” replied the Serge.
And when I was in Korea teaching English, some of my students who had finished their army service related that they “learned to smoke” in the army and it was the only thing they had to look forward to all day.
Apparently, Korean army service is quite miserable.
