Hi mARToons fan!

One of the purposes of art and cartoons is to talk about issues that folks notice around them but don’t dare talk about.

Years ago, perhaps 10(?), I walked into a mall in Edmonton and up on the second floor was a “Ladies Only” gym, the first one I’d seen.

Then I started seeing them all over the place.

Why do ladies need their own gym?

It’s a good marketing idea perhaps, but doesn’t it go against the equality and equity principles we are trying to follow in our society?

THOSE GYMS EXCLUDE MEN!

There are double standards everywhere you just have to dare to think about them.

And, hey, why not pick up a pad and pencil and draw a cartoon about it?

Get folks talking about the “untalked about”, and get folks LAUGHING.

Today’s cartoon is an old one, and you probably remember it on this site before.

However, the idea is as relevant as ever.
