Ever wondered how a cartoon takes shape?

 

Here is what today’s cartoon looked like about an hour before it was finished.

 

Computers have made the dull part of cartooning a lot easier and faster.

 

After I fill in most of the background with my expensive blue felt marker (made by monks in Japan incidentally), the rest of the square can be filled in by the computer simply by extrapolating a sample and enlarging it to fill the space.
