MT#929 Silly Walk by mARTy West (Walking during the Covid era)
Hi mARToons fan!
We all know the ‘silly walk’.
You’re out walking as you would any other time, and then you suddenly spot someone down the sidewalk heading toward you.
You see them palpably seize up. You may also. You get closer.
You play a head game with them to see who will continue more or less along the normal course, and who will get the honours of the ‘silly walk’.
The silly walker has to go out of their way (onto the grass, the side of the road, etc.) to get six feet away from the other walker.
And the silly walk can often get truly stupid and even dangerous.
A few weeks back a couple of ladies with dogs saw me coming toward them and they bolted out onto the road to get an early start on their six foot social distancing thing.
A car suddenly roared out of nowhere and almost hit them.
