Hi clickmartoons fan!

Something funny happens with some of the cartoons on this site. The dark scenario portrayed actually gets reversed after some time, collapsing under its own internal contradictions. Last holiday season a guided tour took me through a large Ottawa shopping plaza. My group was there to get eats but the drive through was also somewhat of a tourist attraction. For one, a HUGE Future Shop had folded and moved to a much smaller space elsewhere in the mall. It’s now empty monstrous original building looked haunting and made the pit of your stomach crawl.

Let’s face it, a lot of big box stores are just not going to last. They are from a previous life of us – consumers. These days folks have less cash and they have more options, and are also smarter and wanting better quality and a more humane shopping experience. Nothing beats going to a store, getting your questions informatively answered by a REAL PERSON WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT and then feeling satisfied (or not) to make the purchase.

So, today’s cartoon (martoons, dec. 8, 2017) shows how a mall has devastated the surrounding area.  Now, nine years later, the surrounding communities are bouncing back as the malls are cracking at the foundations.

Have yourself a good laugh as it implodes …
