MT#1435 A pop group ‘fesses up about their hit song
Hi martoons fan!
It’s the unspoken torture that pop groups go through – playing the same song over and over. How do they do it? Iron Butterfly said 50 years after “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” that they strongly disliked playing the song but they had to – they’d built a career and a rock legend on the song. Rush made playing “Working Man” a bit more palatable in a later tour by doing a reggae version of it!
Anyway, it’s gotta be tough sometimes forcing the song out for the umpteenth time.
Then the cheque comes is and that’s all likely forgotten.
Rock on for the millionth time, Marty West, editor and founder of clickmartoons.com
