Nietszche told us “God is Dead.” But all we did was replace that form of order with others. Now we’re ruled by the clock. I still recall partying at university on Friday nights with people who were so busy they’d cut a conversation right at the crux because they had to rush off to another party. Then there was the other school of thought – which I subscribed to after a while – that, if you’re having a good time at one party, stay there. Yes, we are all ruled by time constraints, but a little planning at the beginning will make you a master of time, not a slave to it.

Brings up recall of a concept I called “Grounding”

GROUNDING
In thinking about it, there might be a wisdom to be gleaned from the prospective promoted by the expression;
All I have to do is live and die, BUT I’m in a hurry and don’t know
Why?
Although this may seem simplistic.
However, when viewed from the realization that
YESTERDAY is a canceled check, with TOMORROW
a projection of fear or hope.
It can only leave TODAY as the day of change.
In this context, concerns over yesterdays failure, as well as the
hopes and fears for tomorrow have relatively low priority,
compared to the SHELF LIFE that today offers.
Carrying out today’s concerns in a manner which will leave us with a
PEACE OF MIND about the way in which WE CHOSE
to direct those elements under our control and direction.
NO MORE IS NEEDED, NOR LESS WILL
SUFFICE.
To have us TRULY READY to address
TODAY
WHEN OR IF TOMORROW ARRIVES !
